Portable makes a welcome return to Süd, after a long hiatus, releasing an album & a 12″ on Scape, as well as releasing an album on Ghostly International’s, sister label, Spectral Sound ; under his Body Code guise. 2006 has been a busy year for Alan Abrahams. His now legendary live sets, have seen him perform at some of the world’s best clubs and festivals, including Sonar & DEMF. December will see him embark on a 2 date tour of Japan, marking his 5th year, yearly stop over in the country.

‘Speak Out’ sees Portable, taking the house template and further pushing the envelope. A big feature being also him showing off his singing ability, by featuring on vocals.

‘Take Action’ is a work out in distorted staccato rhythms, broken beats, Chords, vocals enveloped on a relentless 4/4/ rhythm.

‘Bubble World’ is another hypnotic, house monster, with those lush chords and vocals.

With ‘Speak Out’, Portable felt the desire to find his voice again & hopes to encourage others to find their voices too! Whether it’s feelings of Love, Loss, the state of the world, nothing will change until we ‘Speak Out’.
